There will be a long “alpha development” phase as we try to improve the programming to make better medical education possible. There will probably be bugs, glitches, and poor communication due to time and money constraints for the foreseeable future.
Using our tools you can create a diagnosis, and then a “Treatment List” and then you can create “Treatment Scores” for those treatments. You do this by gathering the statistics you need to quantify the science of medicine. You will end up with a graphic like this one below:
You have our permission to create graphics of treatment lists and treatment scores, like the one above, by creating a screen shot of the work you have done, and to include such a graphic of a treatment list with treatment scores and treatment grades in your writings, essays, and blogs. But you must also link back to TreatmentScores.com so others can click through the scores to the statistics and references to see how good your evidence-based medicine thought process is. You cannot create other graphics from our website, but instead must link back for the others because they are interactive. The Treatment List for treating Ebola in Africa is a great example of how controversial treatments can be. We expect many users to look at the same data and to come to different conclusions. It is also a treatment list for which the science is rapidly evolving.
Valid users will be able to create an account. Users will be able to use our Treatment Score Analyzer™ software. Users will be able to create a diagnosis, organize a list of treatments, set up a Treatment Score Calculator™ for each treatment, and then users will be able to organize the medical literature behind each statistic needed using our STAR Blocks™ page.
Importantly, to make the process as easy as possible for you, you will be able to copy the work previously done by others. Once you have copied the work done by others you may improve it by adding other studies or you may decide to weigh statistics differently so that you come up with different scores using the treatment score calculator “personalized” to you. This is important because we want “personalized medicine” and we want to “democratize the science.” Others that come after you can copy and import your work into their account. This is one way the collaboration process may occur. Users are also free to work totally independently, totally originally, or to import the work of others, or eventually to work in collaborative groups.
Our website and our Treatment Score Analyzer™ and other tools should be considered works in progress. There are large numbers of variables involved. We will do the best we can as quickly as we can. Our reviews of the medical literature using our tools should always be considered incomplete as someone else may come along and do it better at any time.
